And the Competition Continues… Amanda Casarez, Fashion Anarchy Designer

By Mia McManus

Amanda Casarez is no new face to Fashion Anarchy. Her experience with the competition last year compelled her to reapply. She jumps at opportunities like this as she attempts to immerse herself fully into the pool of opportunities within Brainchild Events and the Saint Louis fashion community as a whole.

Fashion Anarchy is a great platform to expose the talent that is present within the Midwest. Casarez preaches that fashion is not only in New York or LA, but fashion is, and can be, everywhere. Companies like Brainchild Events help shine a spotlight on the extensive amount of talent present within our own city. Casarez is truly appreciative of Dwight Carter, CEO and Creative Director of Brainchild Events, for trying to turn Saint Louis into the next fashion capital.

Even with a line in Macy’s, Casarez remains humble. She has accomplished so much thus far in her career, and she has even bigger dreams for the future. Whether it be graduating from Washington University in Saint Louis or starting her own designer program for college students, the work she will do in the next few years will make an impression on the local fashion community. She knows there is always room to learn and grow which motivates her to keep doing bigger and better things. Her best advice is to find a mentor. They have made the mistakes. They know the business, so trust them to guide you.

Her work focuses on the tomboy chic side of every woman. She adores the structure that comes with pants and jackets. She is advanced and contemporary. Will this style be woven into her garment from the event? Only time will tell. Find out for yourself on September 24th and buy a ticket at www.brainchildevents.com.
