Fashion Anarchy Relaunched Designer, Trhonda Edwards

As defined by the dictionary, perseverance is persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Another definition of the word is Trhonda Edwards. From serving in the military to obtaining a job in human resources to being forced to withdraw from her fashion classes, Edwards never let her dream faulter. Throughout the years, she took the necessary steps to keep fashion a passion in her life until it was time for her to let her talent shine. She studied at “YouTube University” for hours and hours on end and encourages others to seek options outside of the traditional routes. Opportunities can appear when and where you least expect it.
Trhonda Edwards spends her days as the owner and lead designer for “Upgrade My Diva,” a high-end brand without the high-end price tag. The name doubles as Edwards’s brand and life mantra. She strives to showcase the inner queen within her clients. These are women who command attention, not demand it. Upgrade My Diva stresses the importance of body positivity because every body is beautiful. In the near future, Edwards hopes to launch her ready-to-wear line that will represent women of all shapes. Upgrade My Diva lives for making her clients see their beauty and feel confident about it.
Fear is something that Edwards has never let hold her back; this is why she competed in Fashion Anarchy 2019. Despite her lack of experience and formal training, Trhonda was ready to challenge herself, test her limits as a designer, and see what beauty she could create in 48 hours. She jumped right into the arena hoping her voice would be heard, and it was. She mentioned how other designers commented on how much they liked certain aspects of her work and judges gave her pointers on how she could improve; it was a true fashion community. To this day, competing in Fashion Anarchy has been her biggest accomplishment, thus far. Although she did not win the title, Edwards won so much more. She gained experience, knowledge, and confidence.
