From voting on the People’s Choice Award to now being a competing designer, Leonard Stewart’s Fashion Anarchy journey is about to come full circle.

Despite being a fairly new designer, Stewart has an endless list of accomplishments. He has graduated from college and completed an online program through Parsons School of Design, interned for the St. Louis Fashion Fund, designed for Harlem’s Fashion Row platform called ICON360, and had his work featured at Neiman Marcus just to name a few. Not only does Stewart have an impressive past, his plans for the future outshine the rest. He hopes that stores throughout Saint Louis, Chicago, and New York City will carry clothing from his brand, SSTEW3, which was founded in 2017. He knows that entering competitions, like Fashion Anarchy, are a great way to gain exposure and guidance to help him achieve his dreams.

Stewart believes the best way to be successful is to condition your mind. Read books, put yourself out there, and create tasks that are doable yet progressive. He stresses the importance of dedication and focus. Cut out all distractions and “keep that passion, keep that fuel, always keep that fire lit.” He is constantly finding inspiration from anywhere and everywhere – art, fashion, film, and especially, hip hop.

SSTEW3 keeps its fuel burning by working toward a goal for the greater good. The fashion house values sustainability and is taking steps in the right direction to eliminate the fashion pollution problem. The amount of waste from the fashion industry is astronomical; it is one of the top 10 polluters on our planet. Stewart aims to take materials that are already out there, clean them up, and repurpose them into something new and beautiful. Stewart knows that for a company to be successful, it needs longevity – an idea in his mind that sparked from Elon Musk. Clothing from SSTEW3 is meant to be worn for decades. This is slow fashion and sustainability.

We cannot wait to see what Leonard Stewart will do on July 30 th at round one of Fashion Anarchy Relaunched. Stay tuned.
