Fashion Anarchy Relaunched Designer, Claire Thomas-Morgan

As member of the Saint Louis fashion community, Claire Thomas-Morgan had previously heard about Fashion Anarchy so after receiving an Instagram DM inviting her to complete our application, she knew she needed to take charge and submit this time around. Her area of expertise involves taking classic staples and reinventing them. Her clothing is timeless and sophisticated; she designs more simplistic pieces that can be worn every day or more elaborate pieces that can be worn to a special holiday. However, all of her designs have a little twist; the pieces that Claire Thomas-Morgan creates and sells as a part of her brand are for children!

Her company, Vivi Design Studio, draws inspiration from the joys and imagination of childhood to produce creative yet classic pieces with unique textiles. Her brand pays homage to the one-of-a-kind woman that was Claire’s grandmother, who taught the designer to “live life not only fashionably, but fully.” This advice helps Claire in all realms of life, but specifically, to make sure she views the whole picture when looking at her brand.

As well as a creative designer, Claire Thomas-Morgan is a true businesswoman. Her advice to the youth who hope to follow in her shoes is to have a good business plan and “have a lot of money.” Be prepared, have patience, and have fun with it.

Throughout everything that is going on in our world, Claire remains hopeful for her business. In the future, she hopes to reevaluate her plans for the upcoming seasons and adapt them to fit the changes happening in the fashion industry; her eye is on the market.
